- The Hastings Budgerigar Society: The Hastings Budgerigar Society was formed in 1980, by a small group of dedicated fanciers. Since then it has grown into a small but friendly society, catering for the needs of the hobby. This means simple but practical advice on all aspects of Feeding, Keeping, Breeding, and Showing budgerigars. We pay special attention to those members who have just started up in the hobby. For those members who go on to exhibit their birds, we have two shows a year, were numerous awards can be won. We also have small table shows throughout the year, at our monthly meetings.
